If you're not sure to the term "set", Set Items are in essence strong pieces of gear that offer the most power when put together. They're "set" as they're always offering the same advantages, and, of course they are part of the same set Diablo IV Gold. They first appeared within Diablo 2, though it was in Diablo 3 that they began to become more dominant. It remains to be seen how they'll affect what happens to the Diablo 4 meta should they occur, however we have absolutely no doubt that their impact on the Sanctuary's unfurling fashion scene will be felt.
It's a bit disappointing that the Diablo 4 beta hasn't convinced me yet, but I'm looking forward to playing more (Set Items or not).
